Last week I was eating a handful of nuts, and wow, were they crunchy! I thought that maybe I had gotten part of a shell mixed in, and didn't think much of it. That is until I felt my tooth. As it turns out I had broken part of a crown - hence the "crunch". Thankfully my dentist was able to fix it quickly.
Imagine though, if this had happened while out of town, on a trip. Finding a dentist in the US can be fairly easy, but what do you do if this were to happen overseas?
I was first "introduced" to the Marquesas Islands back in 2002 during one of the first seasons of Survivor. I use introduced lightly as it was on TV, and on a reality show to boot. It is highly unlikely that I will ever experience these islands the same way, but the beautiful scenes left a lasting impression on me.
A destination on many a bucket list are the islands of the South Pacific. The Cook Islands, Fiji, Tahiti - all ultimate dream vacations of a lifetime. Beautiful islands, crystal blue waters, above and below water adventures, relaxation, and of course romance!
I have been fortunate to visit Tahiti, and I must admit, it truly is a dreamy place. All that and then some!
Beyond the sheer beauty of the islands, here are some fun facts about Tahiti:
People get in to the travel industry for a wide variety of reasons. A common denominator is the lure to explore the many corners of the world. Speaking for myself, my list of places to see, to experience, to taste, to feel, covers all 7 continents, and keeps growing. Antarctica remains #1.
The opportunity to travel, though, isn't the only, or most important, thing that drives us to this industry. What does? YOU - our clients. What drives us is the opportunity to help you with your travel dreams, to help them become reality, to help make a difference in your life and those traveling with you.
So why am I talking about this?
