The hotel was established in 1995 and was completely renovated after the floods in 2002. Much of the Archibald's charm comes from the building itself, originally built in the 16th century. The arches are original in the lobby area and the arched, brick-faced ceiling and walls in the restaurant take you back in time.
Speaking of the restaurant - the morning breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of both hot and cold items, cereals, pastries, coffee and tea. The restaurant also offers lunch and dinner with a very nice menu. We had dinner here the first evening and the salads were exceptional.
Each of the 39 rooms are unique - nothing cookie cutter about them! Hotel Archibald offers a variety of room types, including singles/doubles, triples/quads and family rooms. The rooms are charming and clean and the staff was exceptional.
The Archibald Hotel Charles Bridge is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to all of my discerning clients, especially those who enjoy the charm of boutique hotels.
