​DAY 1: Transfer from Munich - Embark in Vilshofen - Avalon's Envision suite ship

DAY 2: Passau and Schlögen Oxbow 
Where the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers meet.  Cruise to Linz through the Danube's dramatic horseshoe bend Schlögen Oxbow
DAY 3: Linz - Austria's third largest city and upper Austria's art and culture capital.  Its expansive main square is one of central Europe's largest.  Optional all day tours to Salzburg or Cesky Krumlov available
DAY 4: Ybbs and Durnstein - Visit the quaint small town of Ybbs, established in 1317 or Melk's Benedictine Abbey.  Sail through the scenic Wachau Valley on your way to Durnstein
DAY 5: Vienna: Explore the Hapsburg Empire on a guided city tour or walk.  Free time may take you to Schönbrunn Palace—the former imperial summer home of the Habsburg monarchy or stroll the city center and enjoy a Sachertorte or Apfelstrudel
DAY 6: Bratislava- Enjoy the capital of Slovakia, rich in history and culture.  Explore the Old Town and wonderful architecture take a hike to the Bratislava Castle
DAY 7: Budapest- Take in the beauty and amazing history of Budapest on a guided sightseeing excursion.  Enjoy free time to discover the city's cafes, pubs and hidden gems

  • After peak season.  Late Fall sees fewer crowds and lower rates.  The weather is cooler but still nice temperatures.  ​​​​
