​DAY 1: Porto - Embarkation - free day to explore Porto.

DAY 2: Entre os Rios - Take a step back in time in a region largely unchanged for centuries.  Charming towns, colorful castles, beautiful vistas, baroque mansions and historic monasteries.

DAY 3: Peso da Regua - The center of the port wine industry and gateway to the Alto Douro wine producing region.  Visit the beautiful cathedral in Lamego. Free time in Pinhão to browse artisanal markets or optional tour to a traditional olive oil mill.
DAY 4: Pocinho - Marvel at pre-historic rock paintings and carvings at the open-air Paleolithic museum or tour Freixo de Numão and visit a winery where sustainable methods have recovered some of the region's original 100 varietals.
DAY 5: Barca d'Alva: A great taste of Spain with a full day excursion to Salamanca, a stunning city filled with Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture. ​
DAY 6: Amarante - Today discover Amarante, one of northern Portugal's oldest settlements, found in 360 BC.  Optional tour to 18th-century Casa de Mateus – birthplace of Mateus Rosé wine and a masterpiece of Baroque architecture.
DAY 7: Porto - Time to explore Porto on a guided walking tour or take a scenic bike ride along the river to the Atlantic.  Free time to further explore the town or take an optional tour to Aveiro (Venice of Portugal) or witness Portuguese cork art and barrel production.
