Keukenhof, one of the world's largest largest flower gardens, is located in Lisse, approx. 45 minutes outside of Amsterdam - open to the public between March and early May. 
7 million tulip bulbs are planted every year, resulting in a spectacular display best seen in person.  Pictures just don't do enough justice to the sheer beauty.
